  Jayla was born in August of 2006, so precious and good natured, we never thought there was anything to be concerned about.  Three long term hospitalizations and countless genetic tests later Jayla was diagnosed with Cockayne Syndrome in July of 08.  Though we searched for so long for 'the' answer we never expected something so scary.  Through it all Jayla is a fighter, and continues to keep a smile on her face.  She loves playing with balloons, watching the 'Wiggles', and talking to her babies.  She also likes going to school everyday and playing with her friends.  Jayla has bi-lateral cataracts, and recently got her first pair of glasses to help with her vision, and she seems to do really well with them.  She also has a seizure disorder and a g-j tube, but besides her hurdles she is a very happy little girl, and we are blessed to have her.
